Ooh - it's here. Iphone 4S has even better speech command capabilities. In the video below, check out Siri, the iphone's digital assistant. The Siri program will help a lot of dyslexics - sure it's not perfect, but it's a huge leap over previous speech-to-text programs.


Siri's good for reading and sending email and not bad at search (though still needs some work - I'm sure Apple engineers are working on it). It registers pretty well with background noise like riding in a car.


For dyslexics as well as everyone else, it means you don't have to do all that reading, typing, and spellcheck.

2. Siri, remind me to...

3. Siri, play a random song

4. Siri, wake me up in 8 hours.

5. Siri, find me coffee.

6. Siri, will it rain today?

7. Siri, do you know the way to...

8. Siri, remind me of my dad's birthday on...

9. Siri, any good burger joints around here?

10. Text my husband to let him know I'm running late...
