Heidi... Have you looked into Audible.com? They give you a free trial (I think it's 2 books). My dd 10, likes Humphrey, Ghost Hunters, Hank Zipper - we were able to get those and put them on her MP3 so she could listen, then we got the books at the library to follow along.

Help! My 8 year old daughter is dying to read books that are still beyond her reading level. She refuses to let me read them to her so I figure maybe she can listen to them on tape and "read" along. Is there a good resource for getting children's CD's/books on tape?
