We will add more practical articles / summaries about teaching tips for specific issues - it's a pity that much more is written about the pattern of math challenges seen in dyslexia than their solutions!

The first article has quite a lot of helpful information about the types of math difficulties seen in dyslexia and ways to help.

Topics covered: issues with counting, memorizing, number sequences (e.g. counting backwards), place value, fractions, subtraction, problems recording calculations on paper, problems using a calculator (see more in the second attached article), mathematical vocabulary (word problems), trouble reading graphs and charts.

The calculator presentation was interesting to see because it became evident that certain calculator designs were easier to use for dyslexic students - because of the visual perceptual issues and effects of color, contrast, button size, screen display, etc.
